Coming to an end..

Assignment of roles :


Wendy : Leader, Time keeper, doing of power point. 


Khar wan : Designing of poster, editing of videos.


Gina : Coming up with the content on the poster, doing of power point as well.

This assignment has come to an end. We'll be having our presentation on Wednesday 14/12/2011.
Hopefully we can score well in this assignment. :D

Responses!

The first few days when we put up our posters and sending them out via email, we didn't get any responses.. :(

BUT.... after a few more days of waiting and waiting, we've got people emailing us!

Some asked if the funding is applicable to anyone? like do they have to be a singaporean to apply for it.

While some told us that they've been to several countries and had quite a few collection of photographs which they hope they could showcase them out.

We were so happy to received emails from interested candidates and many more! But unfortunately, this rumor is a fake one. >< haha..

To a certain extent, i think this rumor is quite successful as there are quite a handful of interested candidate trying to apply or asking question about the foundation etc. What's more? We've also received messages from our friends on Facebook that seems interested.

Research!

Research :

We went to various funding sites, as a reference or a guide, so that we know what to place on the poster. Ms. Wen lei suggested that we should take a look on how people work on spoof advertisements etc. Thus, we went to take a look and did some research as well, example of how the poster should be done to look believable and convincing.

We also found out that the domain of the email address was very important as well. Because if we use common domains such as @hotmail.com , @yahoo.com etc, it might not be able to convince the people we're targeting. Hence, we tried to search for domain which is special and free of charge. hehe.. :x DON'T LAUGH! Because....We've found one! :D cool isn't  it?

The content of our poster :

We are a global organization and our  goal is to help and showcase the talents that you have.

We provide funding up to 80% of total project cost and non-monetary support for young designers to initiate and implement projects.

- Shortlisted candidates will be notified.

After a few times of discussion, we finally came out with a poster layout and we've already done the poster! :) CHEERS!

RECAP!!

our target audience had changed to : SIDM Students only.

we've already pasted the poster in the classroom of Blk M, [M.321 M.322 and M.412] Check it out when you got the time! :D

We decided to do on SIDM students only and not world-wide is because, if everybody believe in it, and when it comes to the time where we need to tell them that we’re actually doing it for assignment only, they might find it hard to accept it and it will also be a waste of their time spending so many hours of effort designing for nothing.
